AAUW-IL State Convention
Northfield Inn, Suites & Conference Center
3280 Northfield Drive, Springfield, IL

  • It’s time to celebrate 100 years of conventions and plan how we’ll navigate the next 100 years. While we’re still finalizing speakers and activities, here’s what we have confirmed thus far.
    • Friday (5-9pm) will include AAUW-IL President Laura Desmarais’ reception, a special guest presentation, plenty of time to connect with new and on-going friends from across the state, and a delicious plated dinner with your choice of (a) salmon with herb cream (b) roast strip sirloin with sherry mushroom sauce (c) chicken piccata or (d) pasta primavera. All dinners include tossed salad, buttered corn with red bell peppers, rosemary roasted red potatoes, rolls w/ butter, assorted 3-layer cakes, coffee and tea.
    • Saturday (8:30-3:30) will include AAUW CEO, Gloria Blackwell as our national speaker, IL Public Policy updates, some fun interactive presentations, and of course a celebration of branch accomplishments over the past year.

  • We’re also incorporating a service component by having a feminine hygiene products drive. If you’re able, please bring a feminine hygiene product to donate. Donated items will be given to a local LGBTQI+ organization.
  • Registration is $50 or $55 for Friday night and $70 or $75 for Saturday. Get $5 off by registering before March 10th. First time convention attendees may request a waiver for Saturday’s registration fee. First time attendees attending both days will still need to pay for Friday.
    • March 10th is the early bird deadline / March 20th is the final deadline!
    • Register Here
  • Guest rooms are $129.00 plus tax (approximately 14%) and must be reserved before March 20, 2025!!
    • Call the Northfield Inn at 217-523-7900 for reservations and ask for the AAUW room block! The first 15 reservations will be at the Northfield Inn. Once our block there is filled, additional rooms will be available at the Ramada Inn which is physically across the street. If you need to call the Ramada Inn, the representative at Northfield will provide that information.
  • Closer to the convention we’ll have info for attendees who want to come early or stay late and enjoy some of the activities available in the state capital.
