Please bring a dish to share. A $10 donation to go to the AAUW Greatest Needs Fund is requested. We hope you’ll bring a guest! 

This is another opportunity for new members to join, as well as for those whose memberships have lapsed for 2 or more years to rejoin. Both types of new members will receive the $36 discount off their membership cost if the check or charge is made at the brunch, for a total rate of $55.00.

The Jane Addams Branch invites you to “Truth, Trust, and Turnout: Navigating Elections, Civic Engagement, and Disinformation.”

Dr. Suzanne Chod, Professor of Political Science at North Central College in Naperville, will explore the relationship between political trust, polarization, and disinformation and its effects on elections and democracy. Specifically, she will offer details on the calculated use of disinformation to divide us further and erode democratic norms. Dr. Chod will also discuss how to spot and combat disinformation in the current election cycle and beyond.

All AAUW members and guests are invited to this Jane Addams branch Zoom program at 7 PM.    Please register in advance.

Appetizers, dessert, and drinks were served. Bringing degreed friends and college students was encouraged. Program plans for the year were discussed. All new members and previous members who have lapsed more than two years could join at this event and save $36 off their dues. Student memberships: Both undergraduates and students pursuing a graduate degree are eligible to join for $18.81.
